Other Projects

In addition to the development of guidelines and methodical support for guideline projects, the dEBM is also involved in other projects.

You are here:

Systematic Reviews

The team of the dEBM has many years of experience in creating systematic reviews in the fields of dermatology and public health. The methods recommended by Cochrane are used by default. We also rely on the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) working group to assess the quality of the Evidence.

Methods Research

In the field of systematic reviews and guideline development, we research about the methodology, e.g. the further processing of aggregated data or guideline language.

Health Services Research

The dEBM is also doing Health Services Research with the aim to resarch the status quo in a special clinical context in order to give recommendations for the future handling of these situations. In the past, for example, we conducted a survey of dermatologists throughout Germany to first ask about the need for a guideline in this area and later to review the dissemination of the new guideline and the recommendations contained therein.

Development of an online overview of dermatological registries in Germany

The Division of Evidence-Based Medicine (dEBM), in collaboration with the German Dermatological Society (DDG), has compiled an online overview that brings together all dermatological registries available in Germany. The goal of this is to increase the willingness to participate in the registers.

The online overview can be accessed via the website of the German Dermatological Society.
